Chair of Charitable Funds Committee

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds

Kumar is a Non Executive director of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of its Charitable Funds Committee. He has been on the board since August 1999 and was Chair of the Audit Committee for seven years. He also serves on the remuneration committee.

Professionally, Kumar started out in finance and was Finance Director in commercial organisations. Having completed his MBA at Cranfield University School of Management, he was Vice President in charge of finance, HR and IT at a computer games development and software company.

Kumar now runs his own business consultancy working primarily within the games development industry. Focussing on learning and development, internal communications and senior management support.

Kumar also serves as a Trustee of Christian Aid, a large international aid charity, where in addition to being a member of the board, he sits on the HR committee and until recently was on the Finance and Audit Committee.

In the past, Kumar has been Chair of governors of a primary school.
